No boot screen (have a blue screen)

I recently was given a F90BT and I have tried everything to restore it (bootloop loop fix, flashing it with the latest firmware 2.008 from Pioneer, downloaded the AVIC-F files (seeded those!))...I think its the software that is malfunctioning.

I keep getting a blue screen. I can hit menu and enter system settings, but nothing else. Below is what the screen looks like when it boots:

That was someones custom splash screen would be my guess. What options are you allowed to enter into when you get into System Settings? Are you in the US?

What happens when you try to load into testmode?

I'm in the US!

I can enter everything under the System setting tab. However I if i enter the calibrate screen it makes touch all the spots and I can't get out of it.

As for the testmode I can load into it. I tried your bootloop fix to see if I could fix it that way but no luck.

did any changes happen after the bootloop fix? did it at least get you off a blue screen and to the pioneer screen? what does it say your firmware and map software is under system settings? My suggestion would be to do the other fix i have pinned the FormatMBR fix. This will basically completely whipe the avic and treat it as if its new and works about 85% of the time fixing all problems as long as you understand what you are doing and follow directions exactly. Use all 2.0 files to start.

No changes after the bootloop fix :(. I wasn't able to get the Pioneer screen. Firmware is 2.008, (car currently at my brothers) I'll check the map aoftware tomorrow. I'll try the FormatMBR fix tomorrow when it's daylight out. Thanks tail.

Hey Tail, so i just finally have time off work to do this. But will the 700BT files work the same for my 90BT? I read somewhere on here where it said they are the same software, but you're the expert so I was wondering if they are compatible.

I was able to get past step 6, but during step 7 where I enter my SD card with firmware 2.0 it just starts up and shuts down.
