Low audio when playing videos from cell phone?

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm running the SPH-DA100 with a Samsung Galaxy S II.

Pandora and music files play just fine, but when I try to play a video from my phone, I have to turn the volume wide open and it's still not as loud as other sources at half volume.

I've looked at every option on my phone and on the headunit itself to see if I can adjust the volume or compensate the lower audio in some way and have had no luck.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...

do you have a safety volume limiter set on your phone?

also, when uploading, on itunes i have options to set volumes - do you have this?

i can only assume its a phone thing

when the music is playing on your phone when not connected, does it sound ok?

I'll look and see if there is an option for that on my Android device. I don't believe it has one, but I'm truly not 100% on that.

I have tried even re-encoding some of the videos with the volume levels raised and it doesn't seem to make a noticeable difference.

The music files seems to play just fine from my phone, it's really only videos that seem to be having an issue.
