Hi all...

The XM unit saves the channel number in the preset display, instead of just 'P1', 'P2' etc.. , like the Sirius unit does. Does anyone know if the PNR2 unit fixes that problem, and saves the channel number inside the preset button like the XM???

Thanks!

Hi, good questyion.

I have the PNR1, and am waiting to get the PNR2 myself. Anyone know, how the PNR2 reacts with teh Z1? some say it "looks" identical to the OPNR1, others say it has an enhanced interface when connected to a z1.

Can anyone confirm?

I had my PNR1 switched for the PNR2. It does add the tagging ability for favorite teams/songs, but it did NOT add channel logos nor have the channel number on presets.

The one huge positive is it is much quicker in acquiring the signal when you turn on your radio.

Thanks for the answer... wish it was the one I was looking for.

But what you said brings up another question.
When I lost my Starmate, the people at Sirius customer service swapped out my old radio for my new radio without charging me a startup fee on the new unit. When you jumped from the PNR1 to 2, did you swap, or just activate the radio as a new radio?

I just activated the new one, and no, they didn't charge me.

It depends on the type of account you have. If you paid for a year or two, you can switch them out at any time for no charge. I have paid up for a lifetime. And it's $75 to change receivers and I can do that 3 times. But it was the price for 4 years and if I go though 4 receivers in that time, it's paid for itself.

Well thats why Im asking... I have 5 Sirius radios, and the customer service people give different answers every time I call! I have 1 on the lifetime plan... 2 on yearly plans, and the rest on month to month cuz I dont always keep em activated year round.

Anyway... Its all food for thought.

Too bad the channel number doesnt come up in the preset tho.. of all the 'issues' with Sirius vs XM integration in the Z1...thats the most annoying to me.
