Is there a better microphone available for the x series? The one that comes with it is terrible. I have Tried different locations and everyone still says they can not hear me. The car is not even loud it is a 2007 civic sedan.

I'd suggest you wrap the mic in foam and install in the headliner / visors to test it.

The microphone problem has come up a few times already and nobody seem to have a fix.

Mine is at the visor, right in front of me and everybody tells me it sound muffled and distorted with low volume. So, you think wrapping it in foam will do the trick?

I'd try it as I did it with mine and it sounds great.

I have the 910 and bought a Garmin microphone for 10 bucks and it works like a charm. I think I read it here a few years back that most Garmin Mics work.
