I searched through the existing screens and most seem to be for older units. Is there a way to upload a different screen for the Z140BH? And how? I am new to this, but it is fun figuring this thing out.

I don't have a Z140, but if it does (like the others) I'm sure it is covered in the manual. Get the pdf version and search for splash.

Grab an SD card, throw a JPEG file in the root of the SD card (don't put it in a folder in other words). You already know how to get to the splash screen option, so once that SD card is in there with a JPEG on it, you should be good to go.

I still have the background pix for my Z3, are they the right sizing for my z130? know how to put they on unit just need to know if the ratio is the same?

On mine I had to put a folder in the root and name it pictures, then throw my pics in there in order for mine to see my jpgs.

This is correct. It will give your an error that you need to create a folder called Pictures and put your images in there. They also need to be jpeg images too.
