So I am installing a Z140BT in a vehicle with an interesting request form the owner. The vehicle also has a Passport 9500ci which is a concealed system but comes with a small display. I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to hack/jailbreak te unit in a way which would allow me to input other video signal for something like this.

Does the Passport have any type of video out connection?
Some of the Passports have iPhone/Android App support which could be mirrored to the AVIC/AppRadio. However, I don't think the 9500ci supports that.
I have a z130bt and a passport 9500ci. There is no video out on the passport, the app support for the passports only work with non-installed models with the smart-cord live. Sorry.
UPDATE; Escort has just released a Smartcord Live directwire for the 9500ci. It goes in between the display and the main interface. It retails for $149.95 and uses ethier an Iphone or Android. Not sure if the info displayed on the phone will display on the headunit though. Just ordered mine and will post after a through evaluation. The product info looks interesting hope it is worth the money.

Not without App Mode coding or a jailbroken iPhone.
And if you don't have a unit with App Mode a jailbreak is your only solution.

it was just a lol remark not personal. The other thing is that the Escort Live app relies upon the number of reports from other users in your area. If there are only a few people that have the system where you are you will only get a few reports. Here is the link so you can figure out for yourself if it is a good investment for you. This is certainly an app that would be appropriate for the App Radio but Escort has to know the unit exist and has to devote resources to make it work with the unit and that is the part that makes it unlikely. That is why a jailbroken iPhone with Mike's extensions is the solution regardless of weather Escort will support it or not.
Ok my 9500ci/Escort Live system is finally complete. I had to wait for Apple to release the 30-8 pin adapter to connect to my Z130.
Here is what you will get.
1. VBLUE is correct you will not get anything on screen.
2. You will get voice alerts through the headunit if your phone was in speaker on when signing in to the Escort Live app.
3. Only the audio messages that the Live app generates are heard through the headunit not the 9500ci.
