I updated my iPhone and iPad to 5.1 and now when I try to play video off either device my head unit just restart and goes into music and won't let me play my videos. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

its an iOS issue... You have to put avic into video mode and play video from apple device manually through A/V cables. I am assuming it worked perfectly before you updated. I'll check my ios 6 firmware tomorrow maybe and see if it has been fixed but since its still beta I doubt it. Apple probably doesnt care that much about this problem to dedicate much man power to it.

If you scroll down to the topic iphone 4s issue you will see a longer discussion about this. Also you will find it in other threads in the first few pages. It isnt specific to 4s its all iphones with 5.1.1.

It's an iOS issue not avic. For now video kind of is ruined in this iOS. Try a different video app

that shouldnt need wifi it streams over cell. I think you can even download them to your phone so when out of range its already on your phone.
