Hello guys, just found this site. Never knew about it. So I have a 2010 Honda Civic EX and bought avic-x920bt the second day I bought the car, but I am not having any luck to use the steering wheel controllers? I have tried 2-3 different kinds of control moduals. :-( anybody here having same problem??

Who ever did your install screwed up. Have them fix it.

I have a similar problem to nishbish...

My girlfriend just bought a 2007 Toyota Camry XLE with an aftermarket AVIC-X920BT navigation system in it. Unfortunately, the steer wheel controls do not work. The dealer is telling us that the system flat out is not compatible with the steering wheel controls and there is nothing that can be done to make them work. Are they feeding me a bunch of bull hockey?

yes, avic supports "wired remote control" but will need an adapter that converts signals from your car's steering wheel controls to it's own signals

look at Axxess ASWC or PAC SWI-RC or SWI-PS

do a search on here for those to see the discussions about these.

I am using the ASWC in my HUMMER H2 with great success. Works exactly like the factory HU did. ASWC plugs right into the AVIC and a harness into the AXXESS adapter for chimes, etc. Done.
