I just bought the d3 from a friend for a fair price, however he has never set up navigation and apparently lost the dvds. I looked them up on ebay but most of them say "map update, needs original disc to work" I cant find any original discs? just the 2010, 2012 updates, will it work if I buy one of those?

yes it should work, i didnt have any so i downloaded them, i have 80mt 90mt 100mt and 110mt

Same here, downloaded 100mt and burned it onto a DVD, worked first time.
