I just installed the 940 today and began playing around with it. So far I'm pretty happy with it after poking around. One thing that is driving me nuts is in GPS when en route it shows a red line to what I assume is the direction of your final destination. Is there any way to turn that off?

I don't think you can turn it off. It only appears under certain circumstances, I believe. I don't remember what it's for, but it is explained in the manual.

That line is called the "Direction line". It points to your next way point or final destination. See page 30 of the manual. I didn't see any way to turn it off.
