I have a AVIC-F900BT... I have downloaded the 9GB AVIC problem solver file download.. I appreciated everybody uploading and I will do the same and continue to upload...

After days of searching and reading and searching again. Here is what I have done so far....

Remove negative battery terminal and sit for a bit and reconnect..screen remains black

Checked fuse on back of AVIC, Fuse is good Zero ohms checks out fine

Checked power on power cable getting good readings on Always ON, IGN and Ground

Reseting..Does nothing screen remains black

Service mode.. (holding down reset, map, menu and eject) Then letting go of reset after 15 seconds, I have even waited 30 seconds one time and no dice screen remains black.

Test mode..Following the exact instructions provided with a formatted FAT 16 SD Card of at least 2GB in size no dice screen remains black

There is one symptom I get though...When I attempt to go into service mode the led lights on the buttons will cycle from on to dimming to turning on again and dimming. This is the only symptom I am getting. Has anyone experienced this? If so what of this? What does this mean?

The only other thing I can think of is if I'm putting in the files wrong into the sd card..I have tried putting the folders themselves into the sd card and I have also put the contents of the folder (the files themselves) thinking It should be this way. Which way is it? Can someone help me on this step? As it could be a simple mistake I could be doing.

All in all the screen remains black never gets to pioneer logo never gets to splash screen basically screen remains black and stays black

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I appreciate the relatively fast download from seeders for the 9GB AVIC folders, I will do so also.

sounds like your screen is dead. I dont know much about the hardware, I have done some minor fixex but not many. to get no blue screen on service mode is really the biggest indicator. You can hear the fan running and button lights.
