Just bought a X-940BT, tried the navi.exe hack but it didn't work. My unit says it has firmware 4.0

Is there a way around this? New to the AVIC so I need alot of help.

Any help would be appreciated.

What "application version" do you have exactly?

Did you copy over your own and hexedit and copy back, or did you use somebody elses?

I copied over my own then hex edited it, but could not find the required values to change at the offset, so i downloaded the already modified navi.exe from the thread. That didnt work so I put the backup of my navi.exe back. I'll post all the version info from my unit tomorrow when i get a chance to write it all down.

this says for f940bt, but should work just fine on x940bt

After you update to Application version 4.010, you can then edit the navi.exe that is in this 4.010 update folder, and copy that to your unit (of course putting it in the right PRG directory on your unit)

Got it, and that worked. Thanks! Do you know what the difference between 4.0 and 4.01 is? All seems to be working fine, just curious.

not sure, and not sure why it isnt on US site - must be some things that only affect non-US (like EU) systems. However, it should be ok, as 4.010 is the version that ships with the 2012 update for previous hardware versions.

The new firmware fixes the following issues:

AHA performance (display speed) through Bluetooth connection

Unit cannot calculate fuel costs on beforehand in Norwegian currency

"Advanced App Mode" positioning (NavGate Drive will reroute less often)

Did anybody install this update on the US versions? are there any issues?

This is the version that is included with the 2012 US/CAN update for older units. It will work fine.

Hey guys, will this update work for an X930BT, currently running v3.0000? Also, is the navi.exe hack JUST for removing the Caution screen?

If I'm not able to update to 4.01, could someone point me to where I can get the direct update for the x930BT?
