Just had my Z1 installed in my 2005 F250 4x4 Diesel. :D I got it from Crutchfield last week at $1950.00, and I guess it must have been one of the last one they had. I noticed they are no longer offering it on the website. I know Cruthfield is a bit pricey, but I have bought a lot of stuff from them over the years and I like their Customer Service and support.

I had AutoMod in Lancaster, Ca. do the install (thanks Jack!) and they did a very nice job. Jack installed the Ipod interface, Bluetooth, Sirius and used DucattiBoys notes to do the post 10/06 bypass. Everything works great.

I'm going to have the PAC SWI-PS and cameras installed next week.

I love the unit, THANKS to all your posts, all the info was helpful in making a decision on what to get and wether ot not to do it myself (glad I didn't try it, looked like a lot of work).

I'm looking forward to some reviews on the Z2 upgrade when it comes out. Anybody think they might disable the bypass?

Congrats on the z. As for the bypass, right now it's all speculations, but all signs point to no.

I am considering whether or not to try the install myself. How much was yours?

I want to have the XM module, Bluetooth and Ipod as well as steering whell controls.

The local Cartoys said to expect $400-500. Before I told them I wanted the additional modules.

Any idea on the cost of a rear camera?

Just got my Z1 installed as well. Love it so far, except I am currently downloading the ECDDB upgrade b/c my Z1 wont recognize CD ID3 Text. Got the full package sans rearview camera.

I had a local shop do mine. They we in the Crutchfield Installer Network.

It was $200.00 for the Z1 and $170.00 additional for the IPOD, BLUETOOTH, SIRIUS and Bypass hookups.

I was quoted $300.00 for the camera install(including the camera), but I'm goona try to talk them down off of that.
