Unable to Set Password - Or Even Get There!

In just the last several days, I had my old D2 system replaced with the X940bt.

I have followed the instructions on Page 196 of the manual to set a password. No luck.

The instructions say to go the Settings Menu and touch Area 1, then, Area 2, then touch and hold Area 3. I get nothing!

My system was installed by a professional at a competent shop.

I was however, able to resize my D2 splash screen and install it. So, at least I got half of it done.

Other then returning everything to the factory settings, is there another way to access this?

I tried setting a password and got the same results as you, nothing! Mine is version V4.0.1.

try this: remove the anti theft face plate (this is on my x 930 bt) then put it back and it will ask you for password. You enter it and then confirm it and press ok. Hope this helps.

Did you ever figure this out?

I've got the same issue with my 930BT.  Touch area 1 then area 2 then hold area 3, nothing happens.

I know the current password, but I want to change it, but can't access the screen.
