I purchased an AVH-P8400bh a few months ago. So far, I'm really happy with it. However, I primarily bought it to use with an app called 'Waze' which works pretty well with the unit.

 

My only question is: when I switch the radio to appmode so I can use waze, it stops playing the music from XM or FM. Is there a way to switch to appmode, but continue listening to the XM radio? Have I just not stumbled across it yet?

Yes. Go to settings, sound settings and there you must find something like: mixing mode or mix mode. You must choose LOW.

 

I have low and i can use waze navigation and listen my audio source i want (cd, usb, ipod, fm..).
