Will the wire running the spedo work as the VSS wire? i HAVE A Ford Freestyle 2007 SEL and there is not a word about a vss wire,ive heard of a black and grey wire in the radio harness but this wirs is no existant. Please help the Nav stinks in the city as is without the speed pulse. ( i have a D2)

YEah you can go to the speedo, dunno the wire color and I'm not getting a listing for your car. You can also go to a wheel speed sensor. there's only 2 wires there so your odds of getting the right wire on the first shot improve dramatically.

where can i find it, i know on the wheel but where? do i need to take the wheel off? how do i know which wire to use? which wheel has the speed sensor?

all 4 will have a wheel speed sensor. Look at the back. Look for wires. Which one, don't know hook it up if it works you got the right one. If it doesn't you got the wrong one.

does the tire need to be removed?

Doubtful, but again I can't say for sure.
