"Radio reception update" - possible mods?

Hi,

I've just got mail notification about radio update,

available here. It updates uCom fw via testmode.

My first thought is - maybe its our opportunity

to make some mods which could give us gps unlock etc?

It includes files such as: EU110SYS.prg and EU110SAL.prg,

which we hadn't before.

I dont know what they contain, but maybe we could

make some mods, repack it and flash

interesting. but doubt there will be much hackability because its custom CPLD code - not general purpose arm code.

The testmode.key is interesting tho - decodes to: {orig hex, shifted hex, encoded ascii}:

If I have a F930BT with software 4.0 is supposed to load the update from the F930BT or F940BT?

does not matter

looks like both updates are same files

for f30, f40, f930, f940 only

I was wondering because of this that the F930Bt version is 8.06 and the F940BT is the version 8.03.
