AVH-8400BH. Using Advanced App Mode while listening to unit's radio or SD card music

Sorry, AVH-P8400BT. I have been digging the internet for two days by now and couldn't find an answer. Can I listen to radio or SD Card's music while using GPS through advanced app mode? I know other units can do it by "mixing" inputs, what about this one? I am using Iphone 4S with iOS 6.0.1 installed. Thanks!

UPD: Found the answer to this one )).

Another question is - how do I close the apps running on the screen of the unit? There is no Home button on the unit and no such buttons in the apps like Aupeo and Navitel. In order to quit an app I need to restart Appradio on the Iphone which is very annoying...

You can press the 'home' button. it's center button with the 4 squares to go back to the menu to select apps.

Hi guys. New here. Just installed my 8400BH this past weekend and was wondering the same thing re: App mode, GPS, and background music. Does anyone know?

Only if the music comes from your phone.

Using a jailbroken 4S and appradio extensions from cydia.

You can listen radio and use a GPS application from Advaced AppRadio mode. You have just to enable a option. Check page 52 "Setting the App sound mixing" in English manual.

Setting the App sound mixing

You cannot turn on or off Mixing when this unit is playing a song of iPod.

The sound of application during Advanced App Mode can be adjusted.

Enable this setting when you want to mix the App sound with the sound from a built-in source (such as the radio). The volume of the App sound can be selected from 3 levels.

Can anyone tell me why my ipod is playing while in advanced app mode but sound mixing is set to off?

Im using app mix for the gps.., its work perfect.

and for the audio like.., AUPEO., i choose ipod from the source., while im using AUPEO , and the sound is better than app mix.., and i can control the volume of AUPEO and any other music app

You can just select "app mixing" in the settings of the radio.

you then have the audio from the app, as well as the selected source.
