This is a link to update your software to the newest version. I still cant remember how i found it but its almost impossible to navigate to this link through Pioneer's website.

Hey thanks, I don't know how you found that either lol. But did you install the update, if so, what does the update add or fix?

Yes i installed it and its been running for almost two weeks. I really cant comment on what it changed as i installed the updated software the same day i bought it.

Instructions on how to update your S1 with this software are to come.

since I'm at work, does the manual have instructions on how to do this?

Just plug your avic-s1 on your computer and run the update.

Here are the download directions from the Pioneer Europe website. Download the update from my original link and then follow the directions from this webpage http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/content/suppo ... VICS1.html

I still want to know why the update isn't listed on the avic s1 page on pioneer electronics.com? Also, to long time users who installed the update, what differences have you noticied? Did it add anything? I need to find out why it isn't listed with instructions on the pioneer avic s1 page. God Bless

Hey,

I am not a long time user...bought my unit back in March...I updated from 1.00.18 to this 1.01.14 and have not noticed a single difference...

Being in NA I had the NA maps and it did not change this to Europe or anything weird like that (I was concerned seeing as the file was from a European website).

It did change the version number in the product info screen, but as I said, I have not noticed a single difference in how the unit functions or any options or anything else...

Hopefully someone else can shed smoe light!

my mistake, sorry...I was looking at the web address of the instructions and it shows a dot EU address...again sorry for the confusion...

Has anybody figured out what the update changes, as I have yet to find any differences...
