Replace Missing AVIC-D2 Button

The "DEST/INFO" button on the right side of my AVIC-D2 is missing (see right side of pic below). When I called Pioneer, they said that this was a "cosmetic" problem and not covered under warranty. They want to sell me a replacement button for $30. I'm not happy to spend that much for a tiny piece of plastic after shelling out $800 for the unit. Does anyone know where I could get a button more cost-effectively? The unit works fine, but I don't want to get water/grease onto the circuit board.

AVIC buttons dont generally just fall off and go missing. I think $30 is reasonable considering noone sells AVIC buttons but Pioneer itself.

Maybe go back to the car it was stolen out of and retrieve it?

This isn't a stolen AVIC. I lost the button when I came in on the passenger side during our recent snow.

fyi--typically thieves don't register their stolen goods and call the manufacturer for warranty support.
