Advanced App Mode on a Z-140 won't work with galaxy s3

I was wondering if anyone else had this issue. I have a z140 and I am trying to link my apps to the unit. Bluetooth streaming audio works fine but I can't get the app to work..

I read that there is a firmware update for this unit but have no been able to locate it.

Any ideas? Thanks!

App mode and S3 dont get along well... Mine works intermittently. You need the S3 specific MHL cable, then cross your fingers if it works. My aftermarket MHL cable hardly works. Gonna try the official pioneer android kit and samsung adapter and see if that works better.

i think even with the android pioneer kit you still need the samsung mhl adapter linked on the pioneer website. i dont think its a cable just an adapter. i think i saw it for 10 bucks.

On a 140, Advanced App Mode is only supported for iPod/iPhone/iPad. Android is supported via BT for Pandora and Aha only . No cable or adapter is necessary. Set connection type to BlueTooth in the system settings.
