Avic Z1 How to tell if unlocked

I don't know of mine is unlocked as I was stupid to buy a hard drive pre loaded with the 2010 maps. How do I know if it is unlocked

 

Also if I upgrade to the 2012 maps with Acronis or whatever that is do I lose all my music?

Either try connecting to your PC (if unlocked, you will be able to see the files) or ask the seller of the hard drive.

 

If you follow my upgrade instructions and only update the LDAT and SDAT partitions, then your music and personal data can be saved.

Hey my tried to upgrade it and it said Hard drive not usable. Is it possible you can help me do it via teamviewer?
