...in my 2001 suburban. I really really like the look of this unit. I would like to get one but I'm not sure if it will fit. If it won't fit, can a newer style GM dash be swapped in? thanks!

Yes it can with 1 caveat. You're either going to need the dash bezel from an 03 or heavily modify your factory bezel. The ac controls are going to have to be moved as well.

What all would it take to put in an 03 dash or newer bezel. What options would there be for moving the AC controls. Or, would it be possible to use the AC controlls from that same newer model? Sorry if the question doesn't make sence, wasn't sure exactly how to word it. Thanks for your help!

Dunno haven't done it personally. I've seen truck with it done and pictures of them done.
