Hi guys,

I have just got an AppRadio 2 and I have connected up my iPhone 4 and all my music, contacts and photos have all synced across fine but now I want to use the navigation.

I have installed NavFree but it is pretty poor I have found.

Is it possible to use Google Maps on the AppRadio? or can I buy the TomTom app? I believe to do this I would have to jailbreak and install AppRadio extensions?

Can someone just confirm that this is right?

Also I am on the latest iOS6 is that ok?

I have read the FAQ's and so on but I didn't find a definitive answer. Sorry guys if its there and I am making unnecessary threads.

Thanks

Neither of those apps are compatible or support touch screen control at this time. I recommend iGo Primo.

Hi,

So would I jailbreak my iPhone, install that AppRadio Extensions then download iGO Primo?

Thanks

iGo Primo is AR compatible. No need for AppEx.

Oh ok. Well I jailbroke and installed AppEx anyway. Is that still ok?

I have just updated my FW on my AppRadio 2 and have AppRadio and AppEx installed as per instructions, now however when I plug my iPhone the "iPod and Maps" option are greyed out?

The bluetooth function and Radio still work just the other two apps.

Also when I open the AppRadio App I can't see any of the installed apps on my phone?

Thanks

EDIT:

Just looked and under the FW i installed there is this;

How do I change my App Connection Setting to "Others" as it is currently on Digital AV and I am not using an iPhone 5.

Settings --> System --> App Connection Setting

  • "iPhone (Digital AV)" for iPhone 5 and fifth generation iPod touch
  • "Others" for iPhone 4/4S or compatible Android phones

Follow the instructions on the screen.

Hi,

I have done.

I have installed CarMedia player and so on but when I open that app nothing still shows up?

The 3rd instruction;

Select source off when iPhone (Digital AV) is selected, please install CarMediaPlayer app on your iPhone to access your music and videos.

How do I select source off? as I don't want to use the iPhone (Digital AV) I want it to use CarMediaPlayer.
