I have read in my manual that on the right hand side of the brushed alloy strip with the control buttons is a flap and behind it is the said SD slot for upgrading firmware and a reset button, well I don't seem to have it all I have is two small buttons which if pressed a display comes up saying for android phones only.

I know my eyesight isn't the best being and old fart but it defiantly not there

It's the appradio2 SPH-DA100

It doesn't have one. You upgrade thru the USB connection. My DA-02 has a micro sd under the little flap

Cheers for that I think I must have downloaded the wrong user manual which would explain my confusion, mind it doesn't take a lot to confuse me you might have guessed that in the number of posts I have put up since owning the unit lol
