I haven't seen any new apps for the AppRadio in a little while, and now I've heard from Rdio that not only are they not going to update their app to support the 5, but that they also will be fully removing support for appradio with their next update. 

This is a worrying trend. I don't see new apps coming down the pipeline, and now apps are starting to go?

I emailed them. And this is what they told me. 

Hi Daniel,

Unfortunately, we will be dropping support for AppRadio with the next release of Rdio for iOS, so there won't be a fix for this iOS 5 issue. This removal of support should fix your request for a way to disable the AppRadio mode though.
