I get my music from various distributors and I actually have some store bought CDs. My Z1 copies them just fine, but during playback I have no ID3 Text display. I have no clue what the track is called. I would like to have the Artist, Album, and Track displayed.

After the Z1 rips the CD, I still cannot get the Library to display the ID3 Text either. Out of the 5 CDs I have ripped (Z1 is 2 days old), I was able to go back in and update the ID3 Text with the latest Gracenote download (01/19/2007) from Pioneer's website for 1 CD.

People I've talked to who know more about the Z1 then I do tell me I am basically SOL. I will have to rip the CD to a computer, impute ID3 text and then burn the CD to a blank CD-R for the Z1 to read it.

Do you have a link for that download? The one I saw on their website was Date released: October, 2006

I went back to what I thought was 1/19/2007 to see October 2006 listed there. I don't know how I got Jan. 2007 from that.

Nope that's the most recent release.
