Anyway to put a X850BT in test mode? Pulled it out and installed a 5ch amp and now its asking for the password. The guy im doing this for can't remeber the password.

Send it off to Pioneer and pay the price. Never set a password if ya cant remember it. FYI ya get 3 attempts every ten minutes though.

It still allows us to keep putting in passwords after 3 attempts. Are you saying even if we are entering in the right one after the 3 attemps it won't work?

Well with past units it would lock you out completely for 10 minutes if you attempted the wrong password three times.
