On Pioneers site they only list a handful of Android compatable phones, and they all look like older models.  Are the new Android phones compatable, and just not supported?  OR, suggestions on an Android phone?

The list on Pioneer's site is indeed very outdated.  Generally, if your phone has hdmi or mhl out, it should work with Pioneer's app.

Hey guys sorry I'm a but of a stooge on this also but I used to have an iPhone 4s cable installed and now got a sgs3. Do I need to just get the mhl cable and run ARliberator and that's it? Having a real hard time understanding what I need. Any help is appreciated.

For the sgs3 you need the original Samsung MHL adapter. There's a lot of information in ARLiberator's forums
