X940BT Program Start Up Error — AVIC411 Forum Archive

Newbie here. Managed to get a display model AVIC X940BT at Best buy, but as soon as i hooked it up to a power supply to check operation, i get a Program Start up Error message right after the splash screen.

Anyone know if there is a fix or should i return it as id hate to return such a nice unit.

Are you talking about the famous "There is no applicable program" (see http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/36778-x9310bt-completely-messed-up/&do=findComment&comment=267142)?

Actually i just fixed the problem by reinstalling the firmware via microsd slot. I was noticing after the splash screen it kept saying "program start up error" followed by a "6". Im guessing whomever had the unit before me must have hosed something up. Anyways im good to go.
