I recently bought a new truck that had this stereo installed in it by the previous owner. When I go to the "Settings" menu, I can not press the "system setting" or bluetooth setting" buttons as they are grayed out. I tried to update the firmware via SD card but the system won't download it. Any ideas as to what is wrong? Thanks all. I can also be emailed at [email protected]

Make sure the parking break is pulled.  If it is, make sure the brake wire is properly connected.

I have an x930bt and having the same issue.  I called Pioneer support and they said to click on the firmware button and if there is not a version number then the bluetooth module in the unit is bad.  They said it is a $230 flat rate to replace the bluetooth module.
