Would there be a problem if the camera was hooked up to a power source that is contantly on? I have a hitch hiker in my truck so I can power my playstation and the power source is wired to always be on. I wanted to hook up my backup camera to that for a power source but wasnt sure if it would drain my battery. Would their be an issue if the cameras power was always on?

I have a electronic fuel pressure gauge in my truck, could I wire it to that source since its a key on for the gauge to work? Its 12volts.

mine is hooked up to constant power and I have noticed no battery drain. I don't know if this is good for the camera or not. I plan on changing the wiring when it warms up.

While a backup camera may not pull a lot of power, having it hooked up so that it's constantly on is not a good idea. I've been through 2 displays becuase the camera has gone out. Due to the sales trolls not turning it off at night. The other problem is as the battery ages it will become easier for the current draw of the camera to drain the battery to a point where the vehicle will not start.
