Well hopefully you're not taking it to a mechanic to have it installed. Hopefully you're taking it to an installer to be installed.

In my experience a good mechanic knows the mechanical aspect of a car inside and out with a basic understanding of the electrical. A good installer, the opposite knows the electrical inside and out with a basic understanding of the mechanical. Yes I know there are exceptions, but that for the most part is the way this world works. which is also why the first thing a "mechanic" blames for a problem is something like a remote start or an aftermarket radio.

alright ya i'll find an installer, so other than the wire harness, what else i need to buy? btw where do i find the wire harness specificly for my car?

yes, for your car. The wire harness is a plug that goes directly onto your old radio wire harness, and it recolors the wiring to match the color of the standard aftermarket wires. i.e. red =12volt source yellow 12 v constant...

It isnt necessary, but its good to have in order to avoid mistakes. It also gives you a couple more inches of wiring to work with.
