App Mode with IOS 5.1 and Ipod Touch 3rd Generation

HI,

I am using an Avic-Z140BH with my Ipod Touch 3rd Generation. It has IOS 5.1.1. I am able to listen to my music as an accessory when plugged in but I cannot access App Mode. I have the "AppRadio" app installed and the "Car Media Player" App installed. When I press the app mode button on my Avic it appears to do everything correctly but nothing shows up on the screen. Am I doing something wrong or is IOS 5.1.1 not compatible with my AVIC?

Please help.

can't speak for the 140BH, but i have the 150BH, and per pioneer's website, appradiomode will only work when connected to an iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, or iPhone 4. when the accessory is plugged in via the 30pin connector it will work as a music player, but it can not simultaneously work in appradio mode. honestly though, you're not missing much. i think accessing the music functions directly from the HU without appradiomode is actually a little easier and more user friendly. hope some of that helps
