I bought both the DEQ and the AXM to hook into the Z1. After they installed it, they said there was no way to control the unit.

Said they could not get 5.1 working and that the booklets say the Z1 is not compatible with these. The most they could do is be able to get Stadium and some of the other effects works. Waht are they talking about?

Does you car have 5.1 capabilities? Maybe you need to buy another speaker? Shouldnt the AXM control the DEQ?

The stadium and stuff are just different types of sound settings to sound best in that environment, i.e. if your car is a stadium, that sound setting would be the best fit.

Yes when running a setup like that the axm is what controls the deq NOT the z1.

by the way, I have both of these for sale. I decided that since my wife wants to keep everything simple to use, I did not install these.
