Poor recording quality

I have been having a problem with the playback quality of songs that have been recorded to the hard drive. Certain songs will record very choppy and sound like they are skipping. At first, i though it was a scratched CD, but i reburned the MP3 to a new CD-R and re-copied it... the new copy skips in all the exact same places! I beleive this is a problem with the audio codec that pioneer is using since the song plays perfectly when played directly from the CD. There are about 30 songs i have that have been effected by this.

Does anybody know of a possible software upgrade or way to better the compression format?

If want want to test it download a copy of "Nickelback - Animals" ... i have downloaded multiple different copies of this song at different bitrates. It always plays fine when played from the CD, but any copy that i burn to the hard drive is distorted. That is just one example, there are many of my songs that have been effected.

Same result as lowriderman3. In fact, it sounds pretty good for compressed audio. And love the convenience and playlists.

i have same issue, and realize, the problem occurs when you burn a cd from MP3 that has lower quality than usual, and when it is ripped into the HDD, the quality degrates even more. so if you rip using original CD it should be fine.
