Hello,

I've had my pioneer head unit since 2008. I currently have 2.0008 installed on my system. For awhile now it has been lagging and certain features have stopped working. I figured since my radio was so old it wouldn't have anymore updates, but I recently found 3.0 and 4.0 online. I noticed that these are for European radios. So my question is this: since these updates are for European radios, can they be used on an American system? If so, where can I go to update my radio? Would you recommend 3.0 or 4.0? What are the differences? Finally, will this update my maps?

Thanks

The US firmwares are here. 3.x in my opinion should have been v1.0. It was the first most stable firmware for these units. My f700bt stopped crashing and was faster with the 3.x firmware. 4.0 has updated maps and a couple more features/bugs fixes.

Do you have a link for the firmware updates? I noticed that 3 and 4 are for European radios only. Can I use this on my American radio? Will this cause problems?
