Theres a small update to the avic 1.06 on the pioneer website, http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/products/25/111/AVIC-F50BT/media.html.

Im quite new to pioneer so who knows if pioneer updates usually break or fix things? Something thats annoying on my unit is when i click the phone symol on the screen i get to the map ( after the warning nagscreen), and i cant use the night map while headlights are on ... Other than that my unit is stable. According to the website this update only address:

I will answer this myself. Nothing is broken on my HU, but none of the bugs mentioned above are fixed. The actual updating went without a hitch.

For me, the two biggest issues in the F50BT are:

- Not being able to use the GPS signal within AppRadio Mode.

- AppRadio Mode can't not be seen in rear monitors

I suppose this issues remain the same after the update, don't they?

I think you can click on appradio from the 2d or 3d view settings when you are in the map screen, if i understand you right. I agree 100% that appradio should work on the rear monitors. Thats one big design flaw on the unit.

I mean you can't use the avic GPS signal in phone apps like Waze or Google Maps

Following up comment.. Small, but annoying bug after the update: after starting the car, the radio starts paying from ipod (if connected) but after ten seconds or so, it will pause itself and i must then manually click play again. Small things...!
