Apple introduced CarPlay in their new iOS 7.1 update yesterday.

Anybody tried it with an AVIC-X920BT?

I had some apps before but I'm wondering if this is supported by the latests Pioneer Firmware...

Which by they way is what version?

Anyone know if Maps been updated?

I don't think Carplay will even work in an avic or AppRadio. I believe the radio also has to be "carplay compatible"

Wishful thinking but....

I would wager to say it wont happen on anything below the x50 or NEX series due to not having a native Lightning connector, which is a requirement for CarPlay. That being said, it "could" happen for the 2014 based Pioneer AVIC's via upgrade, but it is more than likely not going to happen until the 2015 units hit the shelves.

They just announced which units will have it built in and which units will get a firmware upgrade
