Hey all,

I have 2 N1 units and I was wondering if I could switch the screen out for a D1 screen and keep the N1 brain?

Will that work? A D1 screen with an N1 brain? I looked at the connections on the back of a D1 on eBay and it looks kinda like the connections on the back of the N1.

Anyone tried this?

No need for two posts. The D1 doesnt use a brain either. its all self contained.

Are you sure??

I ask because on eBay people are selling Avic D1's without the brain and with the brain.

Sorry for the dual posts I didn't know which area it woud have been better seen.

Nope, I'm not sure. I am probably wrong. Remember, if it's on eBay, it HAS to be true. Especially if it's being sold from Lagos, Nigeria!

ha. ive had an n1, n2, a d1 and now a d2. i work car audio so warranties work wonders swapping things out haha....d1 and d2 have NO EXTERNAL BRAINS! only the flip out ones do. whoever on ebay saying that the d series have brains definately needs one for themselves
