I am using a PAC USB dash mount into usb1 port when I plug my iphone5 into the USB port it just keeps connecting and disconnecting over and over is the something I'm missing.

Are you using an Original Apple lighting cable?? If not youll get the mutlitple disconnecting. try to plug it in without the PAC USB. See what you get
