Wanted to know if I have to worry about the bypass if all I want to be able to do is:

Use the Navigation controls whenever, not concerned with Video or DVD playback.

Also does anyone know where to access the speed input line and reverse gear line easily in Lincoln Zephyr or (FORD).

Does that mean all I have to do is ground the parking break wire?

I am installing in Lincoln Zephyr 07.

you will have to do the bypass if you want to use the navigation at anytime. However, we dont know the bypass yet for teh D3, so until then, you just have to pull over with your ebrake engaged.
