Get rid of Speed and Compass on Nav screen

I have a newly installed 5000. On the bottom left hand corner I always have a speed box as well as a compass bar. Both of which aren't needed for me. Is there any way these can be disabled or better yet removed firm the screen?? I've searched the manual and there's nothing that I can see. Please let me know if you guys have any ideas thanks.

Go to settings on the unit not the navigation settings and click on navigation info settings. In there you will twoo options. you can turn off both. One is for navigation info pane and AV info pane.

Did that but both compass and speed display are still there! Any other ideas?

it doesn't appear you can turn them off but you can change them to a different field.

It's covered in the manual (kind of) page 52, Chapter 10 under Data Fields.

Get to it by settings -> Navigation Map -> Data Fields
