changing tire size, would that mess up navigation?

hey everyone. Im planning on changing my tires from 32 inches to 35 inches, however i was wondering if that would throw off the navigation since the speedo speed will be different than the actual speed (the vehicle cannot be calibrated for 35 inch tires, 33 inch max).

The diffrence will be about 7%, the speedo will show 7% slower than actual speed. Would that screw with navigation?

I cut the vss(reset learning) wire to see how it would be without it connected all together, but at times when im moving very slowly it does not register the motion, and it lags behind, so i think it would be bewtter with the vss wire connected. I move slowly many times in traffic so accuracy would be needed.

Thanks for your help everyone!

Reconnect the vss and just reset the learning status on the unit that'll make the unit relearn the speed pulse.

yeah that would work, but the problem i have is that the vehicle will be sending the wrong speed pulse. Since i am changing the tire size, but the vehicle will not be recalibrated, it will send the a wrong pulse, which should theoretically be 7% slower than the actaul speed.

Is this right? thanks for the reply!

The avic will read the number of pulses and the gps info at the same time and calculate based on that. Regardless of what the vehicle's speedo says the avic will eventually display the proper speed. Remember every vehicle outputs a different number of pulses for speed. The avic will learn just gotta give it some time.
