Got a question for you, When I create a splash screen and upload it to my AVIC-Z1 it looks fine for a few seconds than most of the black areas turn gray. I'm using Photo Shop, tried saving as bitmap and jpg, same results. Any ideas?

Not really sure, but it might be about the DPI on your original image. When I make graphics like this, I create the file at 300 DPI and then make the image at twice the size I need so it's a really large, dense image to start. Then, I reduce the entire image size by 50%. It seems to tighten up the edges and the color depth a bit. Maybe give that a try?
