Hello,
I experience problems with my F9220BT.

I cannot connect any Phone to my carsystem. Everything worked like a charm for almost a year.

I went into the Bleutooth settings and saw that every menuitem was grayed out. I cannot select them.

The only button taht works is the Firmware upgrade button.

If I click his button it shows current Firmware version:  :

There is no version number and it looks like the unit lost it's firmware.

I did a factory reset of the unit but this was not succesfull. I tried to install firmware of the entire system but once copied on a SD card the upgrade does not start.

Instead the system starts to play some sample files that are also in the Original pioneer folder.

I contacted a repair centere and they know this issue. They want to solve it for 120 euros within 30 minutes.
I assume the issue shouldn't be too difficult if they can fix it in 30 minutes.

Anybody an idea?

Thansk

Try Installing the v.5 2013 map upgrade (on this forum)... Worked for me!!

Official download refused to start upgrading but crack v.5 was spot on!!

Hi,

Same issue here. Just bought an used car with F9220BT in it, and in the beginning the bluetooth seemed to be working. While trying to pair my phone I accidentally hit 'bluetooth off' -button, and now it won't turn back on. All bluetooth buttons are grayed out and no firmware is shown.

Any ideas how to fix?

If you don't have the parking brake bypass, try setting your parking brake. IIRC Bluetooth settings can't be messed with in a moving car (as detected by PB sensor).

Good point on the parking brake. I don't have bypass, and I believe it wasn't set when I tried it earlier but unfortunately didn't work now when I tried with parking brake set either. :( I restored factory settings also but that did now help either.

The device has software version 2 and old maps from 2010. Perhaps have to purchase new maps with software to see if that would help, unless there are other suggestions that I might try before spending money on that?

Hi guys and gals,

I too have the missing BT-firmware problem ever since I bought the car second hand.

I updated my unit (F920BT!!) from the 2010 to the 2015 maps version and then tried to update my bluetooth firmware aswell.

It showed a message that the update would take several minutes etc. but after a few minutes gave up:
"an error occured and the BT firmware could not be updated".

Could it be that it can not update because there is no original firmware to be found ("Version: ----------- ") ?

If so

1 were do I get my hands on the original 2010 version of that file?

2 what file am I looking for?

Any suggestions are welcome as I am running out of ideas here.

I have exactly the same problem. I managed to update the BT firmware via the supertestmode but it did not solve the issue for me. It seems that some settings in the application software are messed up. It might have to do with the file in \SETUP\BT\BTUNIT.DAT . Can anyone provide a copy of this file from a working unit?

Anyway, if someone wants to try to update the BT firmware via supertestmode, just put the 3 files that are contained in the latest map update in \FIRMWARE\BT on an SD-card in the folder \AVICZ110\BLUETOOTH and select update bluetooth firmware from the "forced firmware write" submenu in the supertestmode. Use the paths exactly as given even if you don't have an avic Z110.

You can also check if your BT module is working from the testmode. Just go into the "Tel test" submenu. here you can open and init the connection to the module and pair with your phone. Once paired you can dial a phone number from this menu. My BT module works fine this way. Also the BT firmware update was successful, but in the settings BT is still greyed-out. So it definitely must be a problem of the Pioneer application SW and not of the Parrot bluetooth firmware.

I have exactly the same problem since years...

Where can i find update files (map, bluetooth & co) which could solve it?

Did anyone ever fixed the issue? My bluetooth stopped working out of nowhere. I had my car on accessory, and when i turned my car fully on, the bluetooth didnt connect ever again. I go to settings and see its grayed out and says visibility is off and wont allow me to turn on, also get error-02 on the screen

Hi all,

still mourning the disactivated BT-funtions of my unit.

Did anyone make any progress?

Still no lead on the update-files that might jolt the thin back to life with an update attempt.

Hi,

I had exactly the same problem. I updated the map with 2017 update; so I could activate BT again. Then, I updated the BT driver. It took 10 mn to do the job: so, be patient.

My BT module works fine now.
