The NEX has an option enabled by default to alert you at school zones, speed cameras, railroad crossings, etc... yet I have yet to hear a single alert. I'm curious if anyone, anywhere, has actually had this work for them? I get the feeling that their map database is just not populated with that information, *anywhere*.

Not for me.

I've not heard any.  The only alert I've heard is the stern warning that I'm going 31 in a 30 mph zone.

Same here.. speed alerts work and that's it.. I emailed support to see what they say.

Sent an email to Pioneer about the lack of speed camera data in the 8000 (F60DAB in the UK), this was their response:

Good Morning

The speed camera information is not yet available for this unit, it will be
in the next few weeks, it will be available when the Car Play App is here,
which is the middle of this month.

So seems like they have a target of "middle of the month"...we'll see!
