In 2014, the autumnal equinox brings the fall season to the Northern Hemisphere on: September 22 at 10:29 P.M. EDT. So, Pioneer, you've got about a day and half to get Carplay to us. Let's do this thing!

More likely, Pioneer is working feverishly, night and day, on writing the announcement that CarPlay will be delayed until 2015.

I would be willing to bet that we will not see CarPlay, and they will not even update their web site when summer ends. Maybe they will just change the 2014 to 2015 on the site.
They could not even have App Radio ready for the IOS upgrade, I m sure they will not care about CarPlay either.
