I updated the firmware to 1.06

I am running iOS 8.02

When I plug the iPhone in, nothing happens.

Any suggestions?

Are you plugged into usb 1 directly with no adapter av adapter and in the settings for phone connection are correctly set?

Try rebooting your phone. That worked for me.
