Is the AVIC-D3 directly compatible with the Pioneer TV Tuner (5700)? Anyone know, thanks!

No, there is no A/V bus on the D3

Didn't think so, thanks for the confirmation!

I guess that means the 6-disk DVD changer is NOT compatible as well, then...

Bummer... :(

Well has anyone checked what you can use the AV inputs for?

Because on the D2, you can use the AV inputs for the DVD player and still control it through the IP bus.

Maybe Pioneer changed it so you can use the AV inputs on the D3 for the TV tuner and it can be controlled through the IP bus.

Nevermind. I just looked at a pic of the D3's sources and TV tuner isn't one of them.

It'll let you watch the tuner on your D3, but you wont be able to control it through the touchscreen. You'll need a remote.

that cable is not worth $20. rat shack should have it

You could use it anyway, just a bit more of a pain than with A/V bus. The DVD player already comes with a remote control, so just mount it somewhere within site of the remote and run it in standalone mode. Then run the audio and video out to the A/V input on the D3
